Part-time Credit Controller & Accounts Administrator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Credit Controller to join our team in the Dublin office. The ideal candidate will have strong credit control skills, excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the day-to-day Credit Control/Accounts Payable operations of the offices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and their accounts teams
- Manage the Sage Accounting application on a daily basis
- Process and reconcile invoices, check and post receipts, manage invoices promptly and accurately, prepare and issue monthly client statements, update records, perform monthly cash reconciliations, prepare and reconcile companies VAT returns, and prepare and reconcile Monthly and Year End Accounts
- Take a proactive role in managing and collecting debts from company debtors in a timely manner
- Evaluate new credit requests and review customers' credit rankings with banks as necessary
- Set up terms and conditions of credit in agreement and consultation with Directors
- Negotiate repayment plans with creditors as necessary
- Liaise with outsourced debt collectors when deemed necessary to ensure payment
- Keep records of contact made with debtors to help the business identify risky debtors and to provide an audit trail for any legal action that might be necessary down the line
- Allocate payments in accordance with customer remittances
- Provide general day-to-day and administrative support as required to the Directors and Office Manager
- Manage all company expenses
- Work alongside the Office Manager to manage staff timesheets ensuring adherence to the system in place by all staff
- Keep the company up to date on any new and innovative changes in Credit Control/Accounts Payable work processes

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Be confidential at all times and understand the importance of sensitive information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent administrative skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence decision-making
- Adaptable and flexible manner
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Have the necessary technology skills required to carry out this role
- Impeccable attention to detail, particularly numbers, spelling, and dates
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish objectives
- Prepared to put in additional time within reason if required
- Minimum 3-4 years previous experience in a similar role required
