Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Building Services Mechanical Designer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering delivery team, you will be responsible for the design and coordination of HVAC and utilities in REVIT.

This is a desktop-based role with flexibility in hybrid working, allowing you to work from the office or home.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within a multi-discipline design team, demonstrating technical, coordination, and detailing skills.

Responsibilities
  • Design and Co-Ordination of Building Services Systems in accordance with local, national, and international standards.
  • Attend and participate in client meetings.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to Engineers, incorporating comments to design as required.
  • Preparation of production information drawings in Revit & AutoCAD for Detail Design meeting all project schedule/deliverable dates.
  • Implementing CAD Revit standards.
  • Develop plantroom equipment arrangements for HVAC and piped utilities based on equipment selections and schematic design.
  • Develop duct/pipe services sizing and distribution layouts based on equipment selections and schematic design.
  • Feed development of layout design back into the schematics.
  • Develop a clash-free design resolving clashes as required with other teams, disciplines, and the clash coordinator.
Requirements
  • Professional qualification in Building Services Engineering (Engineering Degree Preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • Completion of Certified Revit Training and proficiency in AutoCAD/Navisworks, with clear understanding of Revit.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and draughting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Complex industrial building experience.
