Job Title: Senior Engagement Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Senior Engagement Specialist. This innovative role plays a central part in ensuring the well-being of residents and patients at Kiltipper Woods Care Centre.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and coordinate engaging activities for daily living that cater to diverse interests, abilities, and preferences.
  • Build relationships with new residents, identify their interests and preferences, and encourage participation in activities.
  • Collaborate with residents to understand their wishes regarding the activities programme.
  • Foster connections with the local community and promote cross-generational activities.
  • Stay updated on developments in activities for older people and implement new ideas.
Requirements:
  • Essential qualification is QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent.
  • Prior experience as an activity assistant or coordinator is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in care environments, especially residential care settings, is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • A good understanding of HIQA Standards is necessary.
  • A proactive problem-solving attitude and strong organizational skills are essential.
