Home Care Assistant Job Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Care Assistant to provide personal and practical care to clients in their homes, promoting independence, social involvement, dignity, privacy, and respect.

This role requires the ability to work independently, use initiative, and demonstrate compassion, patience, and empathy. A strong commitment to providing high levels of care is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with daily living tasks such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.
  • Facilitate independence and social involvement through activities and outings.
  • Ensure clients' safety and well-being by identifying and reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements:
  • Compassion, patience, and empathy are essential for this role.
  • Dependable and attentive with a strong commitment to providing high levels of care.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with clients and support teams.
  • Able to work independently, use initiative, and adhere to health and safety policies.
  • Desirable: related experience in caregiving.
  • Mandatory: two QQI level 5 Healthcare modules – Care Skills and Care of the Elderly.
  • Up-to-date patient moving and handling certificate (training provided if necessary).
  • International Police Clearance (where applicable).
