We are looking for a skilled Network Operations Engineer to join our team. As a Network Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our global network.

About the Job

In this position, you will be responsible for operating our network at scale, monitoring performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components, and responding to network connectivity issues.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to network outages by providing a diagnosis of Layer 1 to Layer 3 network errors and initiate and complete network repairs.
  • Develop workflows and systems to diagnose optical Layer 1 and Layer 3 network issues to completion.
  • Participate in 24/7 global team shift rotations.
  • Provide remote support for field operations related to network repairs.
  • Interface with high-level customers communicating repair status and updates as needed.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience completing work as directed, and collaborating with teammates; developing knowledge of relevant concepts and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in telecommunications at carriers working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services.
  • Experience in network operations and systematic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to code in Python or a similar programming language.
