Electrical Engineer Position

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the commissioning of complex electrical systems.

This challenging role requires a self-motivated individual with knowledge and ability across the full spectrum of electrical engineering disciplines.

Key elements of the role responsibilities include:

  • Acting as representative when on site as member or lead of the site/commissioning team.
  • Liaising with design, production, service, and installation departments.
  • Commissioning of equipment in-house and after installation on site.
  • Testing and completion of handover documentation and formalities on project completion.
  • Preparation and delivery of technical reports on project/job completion.
  • Commissioning work to include: start-up, verification, and optimization of hardware systems.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Degree/Diploma in an electrical discipline or a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in start-up and commissioning of large industrial systems.
  • Proven technical skills with hands-on experience working with industrial automation and drive systems.
  • Willingness to travel, as needed.
  • Microsoft Office experience across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

To ensure success in this position, the following skills are essential:

  1. Familiarity with electrical and electronic engineering principles and practices.
  2. Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
  3. Understanding of PLC software systems and variable speed drives.
