Conference & Banqueting Manager - Key Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Conference & Banqueting Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of functions & events, ensuring exceptional service delivery and high guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the coordination and management of conferences, banquets, meetings, and other special events hosted at a hotel or venue.
  2. Work closely with clients to understand their needs and expectations, advising on room layouts, AV requirements, catering, and other event details.
  3. Oversee event planning, ensuring that all logistics and schedules are followed and executed smoothly.
  4. Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and guests to ensure their event needs are met and exceeded.
  5. Act as the primary point of contact for clients before, during, and after their event.
  6. Follow up with clients post-event to gather feedback and build long-term relationships for repeat business.
  7. Manage and train the conference and banqueting team, ensuring staff are motivated, well-trained, and provide excellent service.

Candidate Requirements:

  1. 1+ years experience in a C&B Management or Events Management role.
  2. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts.
  4. Ability to multitask and work well under pressure, with a calm and composed demeanor.
  5. Knowledge of event planning software, hotel management systems, and MS Office Suite, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  6. Client-focused with a strong attention to detail, ensuring that every event is tailored to meet the client's specific needs.

Key Performance Indicators:

  1. Meet or exceed revenue targets through effective sales and marketing strategies.
  2. Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery and timely response to client inquiries.
  3. Ensure smooth event execution, with minimal disruptions or complaints from clients or staff.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, or a related field.
