Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are looking for a talented Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing and developing efficient back-end features in Python.

The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Python programming language, including its syntax, data structures, and object-oriented concepts. Experience with Python frameworks such as SQLAlchemy, Django, Flask, and Bottle is highly desired.

This position also requires good relational database/SQL experience, e.g., PostgreSQL and MySQL or SQL Server. Additionally, familiarity with integrating services such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and REST API is necessary.

We are looking for someone who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. The candidate should be able to write clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices.

A Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing, is required. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible is also essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop efficient back-end features in Python
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following coding standards and best practices
  • Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
  • Coach junior team members
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Junior Developers
  • Optimise application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks and implementing efficient algorithms
