Junior Health and Safety Officer

Job Title: Junior Health and Safety Officer

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Junior Health and Safety Officer to join our team in Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures, conducting site audits, providing advice and guidance on health and safety matters, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health and safety principles, practices, and legislation. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the implementation of health and safety policies and procedures
  • Conduct site audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards
  • Provide advice and guidance on health and safety matters to management, staff, and contractors
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and regulations
  • Assist with the creation of method statements and risk assessments
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
  • 1+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety principles, practices, and legislation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Full Irish Driving license
