About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Energy Sector Expert.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of projects within the energy sector, including renewable energy projects, project management, environmental assessments, and preliminary design.

As an Energy Sector Expert, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing technical reports, planning and overseeing design activities, building and maintaining strong client relationships, contributing to the preparation of tenders and proposals, providing line management and leadership to team members, ensuring compliance with quality assurance systems, management procedures, and relevant health and safety legislation, and coordinating effectively with colleagues and other team members across disciplines.

Main Responsibilities
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Planning and overseeing design activities in close collaboration with project teams
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Contributing to the preparation of tenders and proposals
  • Providing line management and leadership to team members
  • Ensuring compliance with quality assurance systems, management procedures, and relevant health and safety legislation
  • Coordinating effectively with colleagues and other team members across disciplines
Requirements
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • A minimum of 12 years' post-graduate experience
  • Chartered Engineer status
  • Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills
  • Proven experience in engaging with external stakeholders, clients, and sub-contractors
  • Adaptable, collaborative, and an effective team player
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Experience in project managing the preliminary civil design of renewable energy projects is advantageous, though not essential
