Preconstruction Planner

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Preconstruction Planner to join our Building Pre-Construction team. The successful candidate will develop detailed programs for tenders, ensuring they are realistic and achievable in line with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate programs for tender submissions using MS Project & Primavera Software or Asta Powerproject
  • Break down project scope into logical work sequences, identifying key milestones and critical path
  • Liaise with design teams, consultants, and internal stakeholders to develop coordinated programs
  • Identify and communicate potential risks, constraints, and opportunities
  • Conduct critical path analysis and scenario modeling to support decision making
  • Ensure planning outputs comply with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices
Requirements:
  • Relevant degree or diploma in engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a planning role in the building construction industry (main contractor experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and lead times
  • Experience in developing tender programs
  • Ability to produce clear and concise planning narratives and reports
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and manage program risks
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders
