About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead our ecological consultancy services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecology and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage individual contracts to deliver exceptional ecological consultancy services
- Provide expert ecological input for various projects
- Plan, conduct, and supervise site ecological surveys and fieldwork
- Prepare and monitor the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans
- Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, and other environmental reporting requirements
- Write technical reports and other deliverables
- Manage quality, including attention to detail and accuracy, delivery of contracts on time, and striving to improve the quality of work produced by the Ecology Team
- Provide expert witness at Oral Hearings
- Develop excellent relationships with clients and attend meetings with clients and design teams when necessary
Requirements:
- A degree in ecology or a related subject
- A minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy
- Member of CIEEM, CIWEM, or an equivalent professional body
- Experienced in the oral hearing process and in the role of expert witness
- Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation within Ireland
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Experienced in the preparation and monitoring of the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans
- Experienced in working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills
- A full clean driving licence
