About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Project Manager to lead our ecological consultancy services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ecology and a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage individual contracts to deliver exceptional ecological consultancy services
  • Provide expert ecological input for various projects
  • Plan, conduct, and supervise site ecological surveys and fieldwork
  • Prepare and monitor the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans
  • Undertake Appropriate Assessments and Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity Chapters for Environmental Impact Assessment Reports, and other environmental reporting requirements
  • Write technical reports and other deliverables
  • Manage quality, including attention to detail and accuracy, delivery of contracts on time, and striving to improve the quality of work produced by the Ecology Team
  • Provide expert witness at Oral Hearings
  • Develop excellent relationships with clients and attend meetings with clients and design teams when necessary

Requirements:

  • A degree in ecology or a related subject
  • A minimum of 10 years post-graduate experience in environmental consultancy
  • Member of CIEEM, CIWEM, or an equivalent professional body
  • Experienced in the oral hearing process and in the role of expert witness
  • Detailed knowledge of wildlife and conservation legislation within Ireland
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
  • Experienced in the preparation and monitoring of the implementation of Construction Environmental Management Plans
  • Experienced in working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills
  • A full clean driving licence
