Electrical Engineer Position Overview

The role of senior electrical engineer is pivotal in the success of our construction projects.

Responsibilities and Expectations:
  • Conduct thorough electrical design reviews to identify discrepancies and deviations from specifications.
  • Validate cable and containment sizing, providing recommendations as necessary.
  • Ensure timely technical assessments and resolution of issues.
  • Compile and submit electrical technical submittals.
  • Collaborate on value engineering opportunities and proposals.
  • Manage submittals through the approval process, tracking procurement and verifying receipt.
  • Attend supply chain meetings and monitor progress.
  • Update system trackers and align with the construction schedule.
  • Oversee CAD/BIM model management and coordination.
  • Review electrical installations with the CAD/BIM team for constructibility and adequate space.
  • Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation and successful handover.
  • Conduct electrical system walk-downs to ensure compliance with specifications and drawings.
  • Compile test packs, facilitate FATs/FTOPs, and present O&Ms for approval.
  • Manage specialist vendors during commissioning.
  • Perform technical reviews of tenders as required.
  • Mentor junior and graduate engineers.
  • Provide client training according to agreed-upon plans.
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of experience in the industry.
  • A relevant third-level electrical engineering qualification is essential.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit/Navisworks experience is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse personality types.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, organizational, training, teamwork, problem-resolution, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent literacy, numeric, and IT skills including Microsoft Office proficiency.
