Electricity Market Specialist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled professional to join our organization in the role of Electricity Market Specialist.

  • Maintain awareness of relevant market timelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and submit documentation, applications, auction submissions, and tender responses to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Coordinate with commercial and field operations teams to engage clients and deliver equipment installations, commissions, and testing services.
  • Manage electricity market units registrations, de-registrations, and modifications as required.
  • Prepare and submit pre-testing documentation and execute compliance testing.
  • Submit test reports as required by system/market operators and other stakeholders.
  • Liaise with business units to manage portfolios effectively and maintain compliance with electricity market obligations.
  • Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle day-to-day queries from regulators and system operators, preparing reports and analyses in responses.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in the electricity industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pragmatic approach.
  • Able to work independently with high motivation levels.
  • Strong communication skills, able to summarize and clearly communicate complex material to senior management and the wider organization.
  • Good understanding of policy and regulatory matters pertaining to the Irish electricity market.
