Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electricity Market Strategist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, developing strategies to drive business growth and success in the electricity market.


About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining awareness of pertinent timelines relating to company activities in the electricity market, preparing and submitting regulatory and market-related documentation, applications, auction submissions, and tender responses to ensure business objectives are met.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining awareness of key milestones and deadlines in the electricity market.
  • Preparing and submitting high-quality documentation and applications to meet business objectives.
  • Coordinating with commercial and field operations teams to engage clients and install, commission, and test equipment according to market timelines and volume commitments.
  • Managing registration, de-registration, and modifications to electricity market units as required.
  • Preparing and submitting pre-testing documentation for relevant system/market operators.
  • Executing compliance testing and preparing test reports as required by stakeholders.
  • Liaising with business units to manage the company portfolio effectively, ensuring compliance with electricity market obligations and maximising benefits achieved.
  • Maintaining good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handling day-to-day queries from regulators and system operators, preparing reports and analyses in response, including financial insights where required.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in the electricity industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pragmatic approach.
  • Able to work independently with high personal motivation.
  • Strong communication skills, summarising complex material in a succinct manner for senior management and the wider business.
  • Good understanding of policy and regulatory matters pertaining to the Irish electricity market.
