Electrical Turnover Specialist Role

This exciting opportunity is for an experienced Electrical Turnover Specialist to lead and manage the electrical testing and commissioning process across various projects in our Dublin / Leinster region office.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate the activities of a team of testers and commissioning personnel. They will be responsible for planning, managing and coordinating all aspects of the testing and commissioning process, including developing ITPs, CTQs and Commissioning Protocols, conducting system walk-downs, identifying quality control issues and reporting on these to project managers.

About the Role

The role of Electrical Turnover Lead involves overseeing the processes for turnover management & commissioning and supporting the engineering lead ensuring consistent application of agreed procedures and adherence to project specifications and national regulations. The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective testing and commissioning plans for projects in the Dublin / Leinster region.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of a team of testers and commissioning personnel to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Identify and report quality control issues and propose solutions to remediate any issues identified.
  • Work closely with project consultants and other contractors to ensure that projects are delivered safely, to budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and graduates to ensure their continued development and growth.

Requirements

  • 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
  • 8+ years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
