About the Role
The team is seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to deploy and manage database technologies in Test and Production environments. This role requires expertise in database management, including installation, space management, backup and recovery, replication, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage Oracle databases with RAC.
- Implement Oracle data guard and replication solutions.
- Use Oracle OEM for database management.
- Patch and upgrade Oracle databases.
- Perform backups and restores of Oracle databases.
- Tune Oracle database performance.
Requirements
This role requires someone with strong infrastructure automation and scripting skills, who can lead in managing client expectations and communicate proactively. The ideal candidate should have experience in multiple database technologies, be able to work with cross-functional teams, and provide excellent customer service. A Bachelor's Degree in Information systems or equivalent experience is required. Additionally, a strong working knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases, relevant certifications, and good understanding of security standards and best practices are highly desirable.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate who has hands-on database tuning and troubleshooting experience, intermediate knowledge of Oracle replication implementation, and intermediate knowledge of Oracle middleware. The ideal candidate should be able to pick up new technologies quickly, multi-task, and prioritize efforts effectively.
