**Job Title:** Solar Development Manager

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a national leader in the energy sector. As a Solar Development Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of developing solar farm projects and other renewable technologies.

The successful candidate will support the origination of opportunities, negotiate with landowners, create outline designs and resource assessments, manage environmental and planning work, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Utilizing large resources including consultants and contractors
  • Effective external stakeholder management
  • Effective internal stakeholder management
  • Resource assessments
  • Obtaining planning consents and amendments
  • Planning compliance pre-construction
  • Commercial negotiation
  • Risk and opportunity management
  • Reporting on each project
  • Input to regulatory lobbying
  • Regular reporting on projects

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management or similar
  • An in-depth knowledge and experience (5+ years) of the renewables industry
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • A thorough knowledge of technical and development work for renewable projects
  • A full EU driving licence
