Remitly is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Fraud Investigation Specialists. This team plays a key role within the company's Identity & Trust Programs Team and provides investigative insights on fraud and scams.
As a Fraud Investigations Manager, you will oversee a team of experts across multiple risk themes and geographies. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a high-performing team of investigation specialists.
- Partnering with cross-functional global teams to ensure effective collaboration and support.
- Guiding the team on prioritization and stakeholder management.
- Communicating with key stakeholders on issues, trends, and opportunities.
- Managing team performance and supporting individual growth and development.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in financial crimes, preferably in risk operations or investigations.
- Prior experience managing a team in the fraud space.
- Experience building scaled fraud operations at a growing company.
- Ability to execute and dive deep into fraud events, leveraging the team's expertise effectively.
- Understanding of common fraud typologies, including account takeover, stolen information, and AML.
- Flexibility to work with the Seattle HQ and occasional non-business hour support during acute attacks.
- Basic experience building queries via SQL and data visualization.
- Previous experience in risk detection rule writing and managing financial crime investigation specialists.
