We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professor in General Nursing. This is an exciting opportunity for an academic leader to join our team and contribute to the development of general nursing education and research.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic leadership to support the expansion and development of general nursing research and practice. They will also contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as interdisciplinary curricular teaching, supervision, and mentoring.
- Develop and implement research strategies to enhance the school's reputation.
- Attract research funding and achieve scholarly recognition.
- Connect with and complement the existing strengths within the discipline and the School of Nursing and Midwifery.
This is a permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will be required to work hours as prescribed under Public Service Agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of research strategies to align with the school's priorities.
- Teach and supervise students and staff.
- Mentor junior academics and researchers.
- Represent the school at national and international conferences.
This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a salary range of €103,462 - €138,319 per annum, at a point aligned with current Government pay policy.
