Senior Dietitian Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian to contribute to the delivery of evidence-based, quality dietetic care in a fast-paced psychiatric setting.

The appointed Senior Dietitian will work collaboratively with patients, healthcare professionals, and catering teams to ensure the provision of appropriate nutritional support tailored to individual needs. This role involves assessing the nutritional needs of patients with mental health conditions and developing individualized dietary plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans.

  • Provide evidence-based nutritional advice and interventions to support patient recovery and overall well-being.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.

  • Monitor and evaluate dietary plan effectiveness, making necessary adjustments as needed.

  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on nutrition's role in mental health and recovery.

  • Ensure compliance with national guidelines and best practice standards in dietetics and mental health care.

  • Contribute to the development of hospital-wide nutrition strategies and service improvements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Dietetics/Nutrition and registration with CORU.

  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably in mental health or psychiatry.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Knowledge of the impact of nutrition on mental health and experience in providing dietary interventions for individuals with psychiatric conditions.

  • Ability to assess, plan, and evaluate dietary treatments with a patient-centered approach.
