Job Title: Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Specialist

This role involves providing expert advice and support on all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality across the business.

  • Act as the HSEQ advisor as required by the business.
  • Coach managers to complete risk assessments and identify high-risk areas; help managers plan actions to lower risks.
  • Investigate serious accidents and incidents with managers, put preventative actions in place, and review risk assessments.
  • Complete customer incident investigations.
  • Develop initiatives to drive HSEQ standards.
  • Support team members as needed.
  • Visit locations to complete audits.
  • Attend sites to meet customers on HSEQ issues.
  • Summarize audit reports with action plans for line managers.
  • Issue weekly reports to senior management on HSEQ issues and initiatives.

  • Self-motivated, able to deal with all levels of personnel.
  • Organized, good time manager, able to plan schedules ahead.
  • Confident in handling queries and problems over the phone and in person.
  • Team player, able to communicate and participate with others.
  • Good analytical skills to analyze cause and trends.
  • Full, clean, current driving license.
  • Willing to undertake further development.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate qualification or equivalent.
  • Quality auditing skills for process audits.
  • Awareness of ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 is an advantage.
  • Background in hire industry, logistics, warehousing, or construction is an advantage.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office and PC systems for reporting purposes.
