Environmental Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Engineer to join our team.

This role involves implementing global energy, CO2 and water management and reduction programs across all facilities to support our sustainability strategy and targets.

  • Carry out audits and opportunity surveys to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop project concepts to reduce energy, CO2 and water usage.
  • Maintain a register of opportunities and their outcomes.
  • Lead energy efficient design reviews for projects.
  • Implement life cycle assessment methodologies across projects.
  • Verify performance improvements.

Key responsibilities include gathering and recording energy, CO2 and water use data, creating and reviewing reports on site consumption and emissions, and supporting the implementation of structured energy, CO2 and water reduction programs.

You will also be responsible for preparing CO2 impact assessments for project expenditure requests and developing expertise through training, coaching and mentoring.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/Masters or equivalent in Environmental Engineering/Building Service Engineering/Energy Engineering/Sustainable Energy Engineering/Energy Management or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in Energy Engineering for the pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or medical device industry.
  • Good working knowledge of MS office applications.
