Key Role

The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in driving our financial management, accounting, and reporting processes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on the challenges of overseeing all aspects of our financial operations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • To prepare and present timely and accurate management accounts and financial reports.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with financial information and systems.
  • Review and support preparation of returns, periodic accounts, operating statements, budgets, and cash flow requirements.
  • Lead the timely preparation and audit of annual financial statements.
  • Forecasting and highlighting areas of improvement or concerns.
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to support business operations and growth strategies.
Budgeting & Strategic Planning
  • Coordinate annual budgets and consolidation of financial information.
  • Prepare and update cash flow budgets for operational and strategic planning.
  • Support financial assessment and budgeting process for proposed business development initiatives.
  • Contribute to strategic decision making as a Leadership Team member.
  • Manage the finance function ensuring efficient management of financial information and accounts.
  • Develop and maintain a culture of teamwork and continuous competence development.
Systems & Process Improvement
  • Review and recommend procedural improvements for debtors and creditors processes.
  • Evaluate and improve management information reporting systems.
  • Implement best practice accounting procedures and robust financial systems.
  • Advise on internal controls and systematic control systems to mitigate financial risk.
  • Manage Revenue returns ensuring full compliance with Irish tax regulations.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies for smooth audits and compliance.
Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Provide financial expertise and support to project teams including due diligence and integration.
Data Protection & GDPR
  • Act as Data Privacy Officer with responsibility for company compliance with data protection regulations (GDPR).
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant with several years experience in senior finance roles.
  • Proven experience in mergers and acquisitions, financial due diligence, and integration.
  • Strong knowledge of Revenue requirements and compliance in Ireland.
  • Experience managing compliance and data protection (GDPR) requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Proven track record of providing strategic financial guidance and support to executive leadership.
  • Strong expertise in contract management and stakeholder negotiation.

Hybrid working arrangement includes 2 days on-site.
