Job Title

Person in Charge (Social Care Leader)

The ideal candidate will provide the highest possible standards of support to those who use Orchard Community Care services.

This role involves working autonomously and with initiative.

Experience working with autism is preferred.

Essential Criteria
  • A minimum of 3 years management or supervisory experience in health or social care
  • Relevant degree (minimum level 7) in Social or Health Care
  • Level 6 Management qualification
  • Proven track record managing residential services meeting quality and legislative requirements
  • Full current driving license with access to a vehicle in Ireland

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on shift when on duty
  • Participate in direct care following care plans and protocols
  • Assess needs and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement care interventions and monitor outcomes

Training & Development
  • Assist in training and orienting new team members
  • Organize and facilitate training programs

Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care plans and assessments
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation by team members

Quality Assurance
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives
  • Conduct audits to ensure standards are met

Communication & Collaboration
  • Foster a positive team environment and promote effective communication
