Refrigeration Mechanic Job Description

This role involves providing service and maintenance on industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. You will be responsible for carrying out service & maintenance functions on refrigeration systems, working with other engineers to complete tasks, liaising with other electrical engineers on equipment, and communicating with customers, engineers, administration staff, management and other team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration repairs and maintenance, as well as air conditioning repairs and maintenance. They will also have relevant qualifications, such as a Refrigeration/Air Conditioning qualification, and F-Gas certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out service and maintenance on industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems
  • Work with other engineers to complete tasks
  • Liaise with other electrical engineers on equipment
  • Communicate with customers, engineers, administration staff, management and other team members
  • Provide support to other Service regions, company departments and divisions as required
  • Undertake mechanical duties, including fault-finding, rectification works, service and maintenance functions when required

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience in the field of Refrigeration repairs and maintenance and Air Conditioning repairs
  • Relevant Refrigeration/Air Conditioning Qualifications
  • F-Gas certification
  • Highly disciplined with excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high degree of quality and accuracy
  • Flexible and able to cope with a variety of demands
  • Good interpersonal skills, with a self-confident approach and flexible attitude to the job role
