Key Responsibilities
  • Become proficient in utilizing advanced inspection tools.
  • Perform startup activities with minimal support from HQ.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance of equipment and troubleshoot issues with effective fixes/repairs.
  • Manage local parts inventory and procure replacement parts.
  • Respond promptly to tool issues by communicating with HQ engineers and participating in escalation conference calls.
  • Verify operational quality of equipment after scheduled preventive maintenance.
  • Install and relocate equipment, conducting associated start-up procedures for newly installed systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems, conducting diagnostic procedures to isolate root causes and correct issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate logs, service records, part usage documentation, and other management reports.
  • Escalate issues for prompt resolution.
  • Provide emergency support as required in the fabrication environment.
  • Foster customer satisfaction through clear, consistent communication and sharing of collective knowledge.
  • Adhere to Intellectual Property guidelines and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • BS degree in Engineering, Science (electrical or mechanical) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Hands-on experience working with vacuum systems, specifically in high and ultra-high vacuum regions.
  • Experience with scanning electron microscopes is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer working with 300mm capital equipment.
  • Nice to Have: Experience with ebeam inspection tools.
