We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an accounting assistant.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will assist senior colleagues in various accounting services, including client liaison, account preparation, and communication with external parties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather information from clients and communicate routine matters effectively.
  • Provide support on audit engagements, tax returns, and management accounts.
  • Prepare sole trader, partnership, and Ltd company accounts with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Prepare corporation tax returns and VAT returns within the required deadlines.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard in terms of timeliness and technical competence.
Requirements:
  • Entry-level role working towards AAT/ACA/ACCA or IATI qualifications desirable.
  • Able to work comfortably with numbers and possess excellent attention to detail.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to represent the firm professionally.
  • A reliable team player with a self-motivated attitude and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Confidentiality is essential for this role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
