Job Opportunity

As a senior physiotherapist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional physiotherapy services to patients in the cardiothoracic department. This role demands high levels of expertise, professionalism, and patient care.

You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and support throughout their journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient needs and create tailored treatment plans to meet individual requirements.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluate patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing adjustments as necessary.
  • Develop, maintain, and update protocols and documentation to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Provide guidance, instruction, and mentorship to junior staff, students, and other team members on cardiothoracic procedures, promoting skill development and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with current advances and research in cardiothoracic medicine, applying new insights and techniques to improve patient outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call rotas as required and maintain accurate, relevant statistics to inform service improvements.
Leadership and Management Skills:
  • Provide leadership and direction to personnel, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Manage and coordinate an efficient, effective, and high-quality cardiothoracic service, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Orientate new staff members and students within the cardiothoracic service, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Actively promote continuing professional development, empowering team members to grow and thrive in their roles.
  • Effectively manage workload and liaise with the physiotherapist-in-charge regarding staffing levels, ensuring optimal resource allocation and service delivery.
