Early Years Educator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Educator to join our team in an established family-run early years service.

The successful candidate will work with children and experienced educators to support children's education and development, leading the planning of safe, creative, and appropriate learning opportunities.

This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and an all-year contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with children and experienced educators to promote children's education and development.
  • Develop and implement plans for safe, engaging, and suitable learning activities.
  • Ensure all practices in the room align with Aistear, the Early Childhood Curriculum Framework (NCCA, 2024), in line with a play-based emergent curriculum and policies in accordance with the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and learning journals, sharing this information with parents and other key adults in the child's life.
  • Support staff members in developing good teamwork.
  • Assist team members in accessing training or support they may require to fulfill their roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular checks on the room and outdoor areas, adhering to health and safety requirements.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualification QQI Level 7 or above.
  • Tusla Child Protection relevant training.
  • Garda Vetting, which is mandatory and will be provided by the service.
  • First Aid certification (provided by the service).
  • A genuine interest in working with young children in partnership with an early years team.
Benefits

Salary negotiable depending on qualification and experience, with a minimum of €16.28 per hour.
