Job Title: Technical Volunteer Coordinator

This is a dynamic role that plays a key part in the recruitment, management, and support of a nationwide volunteer network.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Volunteer Recruitment & Management:
      • Lead recruitment, screening, training, and recognition of programme volunteers to ensure their needs are met efficiently.
      • Organise outreach events and campaigns to engage with potential volunteers.
      • Maintain accurate contact records and manage volunteer communications to build strong relationships.
    • Volunteer Development & Support:
      • Develop innovative strategies to grow and retain a national volunteer base by providing opportunities for development and growth.
      • Capture feedback from volunteers and stakeholders to strengthen community networks.
    • Rehoming Coordination & Programme Support:
      • Manage the rehoming process for dogs exiting the programme to ensure a smooth transition.
      • Screen and support prospective rehoming applicants to find suitable homes.

Essential Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification in business or a related field to provide a solid foundation for the role.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a business, recruitment, or administrative role to demonstrate relevant skills and knowledge.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with a collaborative mindset to drive success in the role.
  • Full clean driving licence and eligibility to work in Ireland/EU to facilitate travel and meetings.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with puppies or in a dog care/training environment to bring valuable insights and skills to the role.
  • Prior customer service and administrative experience to demonstrate a track record of delivering excellent service.
