Senior Accounting Professional

Role Overview:

This is a dynamic and challenging position within a multinational organization, offering the opportunity to support core finance operations while driving process improvements and progressing towards full accounting qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the standardization of close processes and drive efficiencies around monthly close cycles.
  • Process required month-end journals to support the close of US GAAP accounts for assigned entities.
  • Support the closure of sub-ledgers for assigned entities.
  • Run programs required for month-end (revaluations, allocation, translation, etc).
  • Analytical review of data and answer queries arising from local reporting managers and/or Corporate HQ during monthly reviews.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Electronic banking – processing payments as necessary.
  • Maintenance of fixed asset registers and closure of ledgers where necessary.
  • Accruals and prepayments accounting.
  • Intercompany accounting.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and SOX internal controls at all times.
  • Participate in team meetings (internally and cross-functionally).
  • Prepare month-end reporting files for local and Corporate review.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • ACCA, ACA, CPA, or CIMA part-qualified.
  • Understanding of US GAAP an advantage.
  • Experience working in a multinational environment an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a team but also self-motivated.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
  • Willingness to qualify for relevant accounting qualifications and ambition to improve processes and reporting.
  • Looking for a candidate who can identify areas for improvement and scope for process enhancements.
