Job Title: Senior Principal Accountant

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced qualified accountant to join our team. This permanent role is with an established firm of independent accountants based in Cork City, Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of year-end financial statements for clients.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheets and completion of accounts to trial balance stage.
  • Preparation of year-end accounts and non-exempt audit files.
  • Liaising with clients, tax officials and company office officials.
  • Training, delegating and developing junior staff.
  • Client meetings - advice, planning and assistance for professional requirements.
  • Assisting with tax compliance and returns in relation to Income Tax, Corporation Tax, VAT and CGT.

Requirements:

  • Ideally at least 3 years relevant practice accounting exposure in audit/non-audit and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience of working in practice in Ireland.
  • Ability to work under the direction of a senior manager and manage a varied workload.
