Key Role: Principal Cost Manager for Prestigious Apartment Project

Overview

  • Lead the commercial management of a multi-unit apartment scheme in Cork, overseeing financial and contractual aspects from procurement to final account.

Responsibilities

  • Manage cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the project.
  • Prepare and manage tender packages, subcontractor procurement, and contract administration.
  • Monitor project costs, variations, and valuations to ensure commercial targets are met.
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare reports, cash flow forecasts, and final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and legal obligations.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5+ years' post-graduate experience in residential projects with a main contractor or developer.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-unit housing/apartment developments.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
