Job Description

The Senior Mechanical Project Manager will play a pivotal role in upholding high standards of project delivery, ensuring superior quality and adherence to stringent environmental, health, and safety protocols across all operations.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Project Handover: Attend crucial meetings to receive comprehensive project packages and develop essential QEHS documentation.
  2. Design Review & Value Engineering: Conduct thorough reviews based on project documentation and record findings for optimal project outcomes.
  3. Programme Development: Assist in creating realistic Programmes of Works, ensuring feasible project timelines.
  4. Procurement Collaboration: Work closely with the Procurement Manager to review Plant Packages prior to ordering.
  5. Coordination of Mechanical Services: Collaborate effectively with Site Managers/Project Managers to coordinate mechanical services and builders' work drawings.
  6. Quality Assurance Management: Oversee management and delivery of Quality Assured documents.
  7. Document Control: Manage project documents, including Drawings, RFIs, Technical Submittal Logs, Schedules, and QA Packs.
  8. Project Variations: Assist site management with variations as necessary, documenting and implementing changes effectively.
  9. O&M Development: Support development and delivery of Operation & Maintenance manuals.
  10. Commissioning Support: Assist in producing commissioning programmes and managing specialist subcontractor activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or Building Services.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering and Design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in CAD and BIM, strong IT and communication skills.
  • Analytical Abilities: Excellent analytical and numerical skills, working under tight deadlines.
  • Project Experience: Familiarity with project controls and full project lifecycle.
  • Personal Qualities: Motivated, highly dependable, with a strong work ethic.
