Research Support Specialist

This is a full-time 33-month post to work on a research programme led by Dr Pauline Frizelle across multiple countries.
Project Objectives- To develop reporting guidelines for interventions supporting language and communication in children with developmental language disorder (DLD).
- To reflect the perspectives of relevant stakeholders, including practitioners, services, policymakers, and families.
The project involves a multinational team representing key groups who will use or be influenced by the final reporting guidance. We will conduct literature reviews, focus groups, and systematic consensus methods to develop and adopt standard intervention reporting criteria.
Benefits- To reduce research waste and overcome barriers for practitioners, services, and policymakers in applying intervention evidence to practice.
- To capitalise on growth in intervention studies to enable new methodologies of data pooling, meta-analyses, and cross-study comparisons.
It would significantly accelerate progress in DLD intervention research and improve health, educational, and economic outcomes for those with or at risk for DLD through more efficient and effective intervention approaches.
