Job Description

The Senior Architect role involves leading the design and implementation of IT systems that meet business needs.

Key skills required for this position include expertise in technology architecture, Issuer Services, and Debt capital markets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial awareness, be able to integrate subject matter knowledge with industry expertise, and have excellent communication and diplomacy skills.

This architect's work impacts an entire Debt portfolio, which affects overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and executes architectural vision for all IT systems through complex IT architecture initiatives.
  • Leverages knowledge of Issuer services business to deliver business and technical architectures for solutions.
  • Guides development team with design and execution of key technology platform architectures.
  • Works in alignment with Issuer Services Architecture team to ensure applications conform to Citi's CEAM standards and themes.
  • Has experience delivering solutions and architecture leveraging Scaled Agile methodologies.
  • Develops technology road maps, recommends business directions based on emerging technologies, and provides technical leadership.
  • Translates complex business problems into sound technical solutions, applies hardware engineering and software design theories, and provides integrated systems planning.
  • Acts as an advisor or mentor to junior team members and assesses risk when business decisions are made.
  • Impacts the architecture function by influencing decisions through advice, counsel, or facilitating services.
