Culinary Team Member

Our organization is currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team on a temporary basis.

About the Role:

  • Assist with food preparation and presentation in a fast-paced environment
  • Organize kitchen areas to maintain efficiency and cleanliness
  • Serve patients, residents, and staff with exceptional customer service skills
  • Understand daily menu portion control and follow dietary charts accurately
  • Follow established HACCP standards and procedures to ensure food safety
  • Ensure counters are replenished and tidy throughout service
  • Support chefs by providing them with necessary tools and equipment
  • Perform additional duties as required outside of regular responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Manual Handling and HACCP certification (essential)
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with basic food preparation
  • Organise food preparation areas
  • Serve patients and residents
  • Understand daily menu portion control
  • Follow dietary charts
  • Ensure counters are replenished and tidy throughout service
  • Ensuring chefs are equipped with food and tools they need
  • Be prepared to carry out any additional duties outside of general duties
  • To follow the agreed HACCP standards and procedures
  • To follow, record and document all cleaning as required by the kitchen procedures
