
Children's Arts Educator

The Education Department at the National Gallery of Ireland is seeking a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team as an Education Officer: Children & Young People. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a cohesive programme for children and young people outside of formal education.
Reporting to the Education Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of educational initiatives that engage diverse audiences with the Gallery's collections and exhibitions. The Education Team takes a holistic approach to learning, creating inclusive and equitable opportunities for all to learn through art.
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for arts education and experience in designing and delivering engaging programmes for children and young people. They will be able to work collaboratively with the Education Team to develop and implement new initiatives that promote lifelong learning and creative development.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Designing and delivering educational programmes for children and young people
- Working closely with the Education Team to develop and implement new initiatives
- Engaging with diverse audiences and promoting the Gallery's collections and exhibitions
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of educational programmes
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in designing and delivering educational programmes for children and young people
- Strong knowledge of arts education principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
