Job Title: Principal Hydrologist

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Hydrologist to spearhead our team's hydrology services in Dublin. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for experienced professionals to take ownership of technical delivery, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the strategic direction of major infrastructure and environmental projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of hydrological assessments, flood risk management strategies, and sustainable drainage designs. They will also oversee technical studies, hydrological and hydraulic modelling, and collaborate with regulatory bodies and clients to ensure high-quality solutions.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered status or working towards it (e.g., CEng, CIWEM, or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience in hydrology, flood risk assessment, and drainage design.
  • Proficiency in hydrological and hydraulic modelling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, TUFLOW, InfoWorks ICM).
  • Proven project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, client-facing, and mentoring capabilities.
