Job Title

Senior Financial Leader.

  • This role requires an experienced professional to oversee the preparation and completion of financial statements, ensuring a high level of quality and compliance with accounting standards.
  • The Senior Accountant will also be responsible for training junior staff in technical aspects of accounts preparation and tax returns, while leading them on client assignments.

Demonstrable Experience and Qualifications Required:

  • At least 1-2 years post qualification experience.
  • Relevant degree and an ACA, ACCA or other accounting qualification.
  • Business acumen and insight to effectively advise clients.
  • Experience in preparing income tax and related returns.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and complete financial statements to a high standard.
  2. Train junior staff in technical aspects of accounts preparation and tax returns.
  3. Lead junior staff on client assignments.
  4. Identify areas of non-compliance with accounting standards.
  5. Present results of engagements to engagement managers.

Requirements:

  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent accounting qualification.
  • Business acumn and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Irish income tax and related returns experience.
  • Presentation to senior management teams and report writing skills.
