Clinical Nurse Leader

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to lead our services, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for our residents.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled nurse to develop their leadership skills and make a real difference in the lives of others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and review best practice in the Safe Management and Administration of Medication throughout the service.
  • Organise and manage clinics.
  • Provide clinical supervision to nursing teams.
  • Develop and deliver clinical training as required.
  • Support in the development of Policy, Protocols, and Guidelines in line with best practice.
  • Support the monitoring health checks relevant to certain medication.
  • Liaise with other Health Care Professionals.
  • Support in the development of Health/Intimate Care/Medication Plans for new admissions.
  • Write up Memorandums of understanding with external Psychiatrist/Professionals.
  • Respond to clinical needs across the service.
  • Monitor and address medication errors.
  • Administration of depots and phlebotomy as required.

Requirements:

  • Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland NMBI.
  • Excellent knowledge of all aspects of Medication Management.
  • An understanding of the needs of individuals.
  • 5 years' experience in Nursing.
  • Experience of relating to people in a supportive role.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Reliability and flexible approach to work.
  • Good organisation and IT skills.
  • Self-motivated / Self starter.
  • Ability to plan time effectively.
  • Full current driving license.
