Counselling Support Specialist

We have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Counsellor to provide essential emotional support via our 24/7 helpline. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a difference, with opportunities for career progression and personal growth in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering immediate emotional support and guidance through telephone-based counselling services.
- Conducting clinical assessments, risk assessments, and providing appropriate signposting.
- Working in line with BACP ethics, ensuring excellent service delivery.
- Engaging in structured video counselling sessions, with time counted towards BACP accreditation.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all case management is handled efficiently.
- Providing CBT mentoring and applying solution-focused techniques to help callers reach positive outcomes.
- Participating in ongoing training, working with complex issues such as trauma and safeguarding.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Diploma in Counselling (Level 4) with at least 150 counselling hours.
- 12 months' post-qualification experience and a registered member of BACP (or equivalent).
- High level of computer literacy and familiarity with CRM systems.
- Experience dealing with safeguarding concerns and suicidal ideation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.
- Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months. On the update service? You could be fast-tracked through our recruitment process today.
- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if you do not currently hold one.
