Design Engineer Role

We are seeking an accomplished Design Engineer to spearhead our product development initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for crafting and refining all product ranges, as well as collaborating on machine, component, and mould design projects from conceptualization to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and upgrade of new and existing products
  • Create product designs aligned with technical specifications
  • Develop rotational mould tool designs
  • Implement design for manufacture and design for assembly techniques
  • Conduct and/or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and other requirements
  • Prepare product specification sheets, bills of materials, marketing literature, etc.
  • Document designs and specifications based on quality management systems and relevant legislations
  • Verify product testing to ensure design integrity
  • Ensure all designs meet national and international legislation
  • Collaborate with external suppliers to reduce costs

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree (L8) in a relevant discipline, preferably Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-3 years' experience desirable but not essential
  • Results-driven and able to deliver with a proven track record
  • Possess knowledge of quality management systems, ISO 9001:2015, and CE Marking EN1090
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various teams
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Competent working knowledge and experience of 3D CAD and PTC Creo
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
  • Ability to work productively under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing requirements
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities in parallel
