Health Safety Professional

This is a full-time permanent role for a Health Safety Professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a construction or trade background and be able to perform site visits as well as office-based duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing Comprehensive Guidelines and Processes: Create, maintain and update comprehensive guidelines, processes, and documentation to ensure company compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Implementing EHS Standards: Implement and enforce required standards to safeguard employee well-being and protect the environment.
  • Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements: Prepare and meticulously inspect Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) as well as Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) documentation to identify potential hazards and ensure safe work practices.
  • Conducting Administrative and Site Audits: Conduct thorough administrative and site audits to verify adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and EHS standards.
  • Maintaining Compliance: Monitor compliance among specialist subcontractors, agency personnel, and direct employees to maintain a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications in an EHS discipline.
  • Knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and Construction industry essential.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Internal Auditing accreditation including Integrated Management Systems (ISO14000 and ISO 45001).
  • Preferably holds qualifications in Train the Trainer, First Aid, Manual Handling, and DSE Assessor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with the ability to generate detailed monthly reports.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluent English.
