The primary responsibility of this position is the overall management of the Medical Record Department Filing Rooms and related functions.
This includes the physical and electronic management of Healthcare records, providing timely and accurate information relating to patients to meet service needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for anticipating and proactively addressing service needs through ongoing monitoring of operational functions, meeting with Consultants and Multidisciplinary teams to understand service requirements.
Responsibility for the security and protection of the Healthcare Record as per HSE Code of Practice for the Management of HCR and HIQA guidelines relating to safe management of patient information.
Management of the Healthcare Record and quality and integrity of data processed within the Filing Room are key aspects of the role.
A major component of the job involves leading teams through effective leadership and ensuring confidentiality is adhered to at all times.
To actively participate in the development and improvement of the clinical administration function through effective teamwork with other administration managers.
