Down Syndrome Kerry is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Employment & Learning Specialist to play a vital role in enabling members with Down syndrome to reach their full potential through training, education, and meaningful employment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and exploring employment and volunteering opportunities suited to the interests, skills, and abilities of our members. They will develop strong relationships with local businesses and employers to create inclusive employment.

  • Employment Discovery and Job Matching: The Employment & Learning Specialist will identify and explore employment and volunteering opportunities suited to the interests, skills, and abilities of our members with Down syndrome.">

  • On-the-Job Support and Job Coaching: Provide hands-on support to members during training, trial placements, or employment in various workplaces.">
">
  • ">
  • Learning and Educational Support: The Employment & Learning Specialist will support DSK members participating in education and training, particularly in MTU programmes and other community-based learning.">

  • ">
  • Inclusion & Disability Awareness Training: Develop and deliver engaging Disability Awareness Training to employers, staff teams, and community organisations.">

  • Innovation and Opportunity Creation: Bring energy, creativity, and innovation to the role by identifying new ideas, partnerships, and projects that enhance the lives of our members.">
