Job Description

This role is responsible for working closely with product owners, scrum, and product teams to analyze the needs of our prospects and customers. The successful candidate will translate these needs into user stories and requirements for the development teams.

Creatively analytical individuals with a proven record of solution design are encouraged to apply. They will be able to understand the real need of the customers and stakeholders based on their analysis of quantitative and qualitative information. They will work with the product team to translate these into deliverable, realistic features and product backlog items for the team to develop from.

The ideal candidate will employ a consultative approach to both internal and external customers to inform our strategy and tactics. They will have sound thinking and data to back up their decisions.

A key aspect of this role is effective communication with international customers. The successful candidate must have second-to-none communication methods.

Understanding the bigger picture is essential in this role. You will understand where parts of the existing solution apply to new customers and how current functionality can be expanded to solve new problems.

Prioritization and dependencies across multiple client projects are critical skills required for this role. The successful candidate will advise the product manager on the best way to prioritize work to maximize value.

Responsibilities:

  • Detailed interrogation of client needs and gathering functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Eliciting and creating detailed requirement documents in the form of features and user stories.
  • Identifying, developing, and supporting business process change.
  • Identifying and defining risk factors that could occur.
  • Participating in Agile meetings such as sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Involvement in competitor analysis and market value proposition.
  • Continuous improvement across the team and wider organization.
  • Supporting the user acceptance testing process to ensure implementation meets customer needs.
  • Collaboration with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists to define AI-driven solutions that align with business needs.
  • Gathering and analyzing requirements for AI-powered features.
  • Understanding AI model lifecycle management, including data collection, model training, evaluation, and deployment considerations.
  • Assessing ethical and regulatory implications of AI solutions to ensure compliance with education standards.
  • Defining success metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of AI-driven features and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
