About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Utilities Engineer to join our team in Athlone. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, air handling units (AHUs), compressed air, steam systems, cooling towers, and water treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure continuous and efficient operation of black utilities to support manufacturing and facility needs.
  2. Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for utility-related issues.
  3. Implement and manage preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize system reliability and efficiency.
  4. Ensure all black utilities comply with local environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in black utilities engineering, facility maintenance, or industrial utilities within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of boilers, chillers, steam systems, HVAC, compressed air, and water treatment.
  • Understanding of BMS (Building Management Systems), CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), and energy management principles.
