Job Overview

This role offers a unique blend of payroll management and HR support, serving as a vital link between finance and employee relations within a large organization.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail in managing weekly payroll processes and supporting the HR function across various venues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the weekly payroll process for 500+ employees using Sage Payroll and Bizimply timekeeping software, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collect and verify weekly timesheets and rosters from venue managers using Bizimply, facilitating seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure compliance with working hours, breaks, and wage agreements, upholding company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Process payroll each week in Sage Payroll, maintaining efficient workflows and minimizing errors.
  • Manage employee payroll records: set up new starters, process leavers, and update pay details, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Reconcile payroll reports and provide weekly reports to Finance, fostering transparency and accountability.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries promptly and professionally, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Ensure full compliance with Revenue regulations, GDPR, and employment law, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Additional HR Support
  • Assist with employee queries on policies, entitlements, and general HR matters, offering expert guidance and support.
  • Support recruitment administration (schedule interviews, reference checks, onboarding documents), facilitating smooth hiring processes and reducing administrative burdens.
  • Help with training coordination, internal communications, and employee engagement, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Maintain up-to-date digital and physical personnel files, ensuring accurate and secure record-keeping.
  • Support compliance with company policies, employment legislation, and audit readiness, upholding regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience running payroll (weekly or monthly), with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficient in Sage Payroll, Microsoft Excel, and Bizimply or similar timekeeping systems, leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Understanding of Irish employment law, payroll tax rules, and statutory entitlements, staying informed about industry developments and regulatory changes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with employees and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and multitask, prioritizing tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
